Zach Norman
I am from Odessa
MO. I live with my wife and soon
to be baby girl/boy in Blue Springs. I am the Health and Fitness
Director
of the Blue Springs Family YMCA. My athletic background starts in
Odessa
where I was a 3 sport athlete and a 4 year Varsity Baseball
letterman
receiving All State recognition for baseball. I received a
scholarship to
UCM to play baseball for coach Hill. I played 3 seasons there
becoming a
National Champion in 2003. I received All American Honors my
Sophomore and
Junior years at UCM, and graduating on the Dean's List for
academics. I
continued my baseball career signing a professional contract with
the
Philadelphia Phillies in 2003 and played 3 seasons making it to AA
with the
Reading Phillies. Longview Community College was my next stop
coaching
under Clint Culbertson and winning another National Championship for
the Div
II Juco World Series in 2006. I then took a position as the Health
and
Fitness Director at the YMCA where I thoroughly enjoy my position
and the
people I work with. I was honored this past Feb being inducted into
the UCM
Hall of Fame on the first ballot . I am a baseball guy that will
never get away from the game.
I truly love this game and teaching its amazing details to those
who want to learn.
